This week we welcome back to Alfred School of Art and Design, Lenka Clayton! In 2008 Lenka was the Theodore Randall International Chair for Foundations and she worked with students to create A New Museum for Alfred as well as a wonderful exhibition of her own work. (We are still finding numbers rocks around town!). Since then she’s created a number of new works including Mysterious Letters in collaboration with Michael Crowe, that received lots of attention in the Pittsburgh and the National Press. (Check it out here http://www.mysteriousletters.blogspot.com/)

Her film Qaeda, quality, question, quickly, quickly, quiet (an alphabetical rearrangement of President Bush’s “Axis of Evil” speech) has traveled worldwide and the soundtrack has been published as a limited edition vinyl by Accidental Records. A recent TV documentary series she co-directed; People in Order has been shown on television and in festivals across Europe and America. She currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA. Check out her recent news at http://www.lenkaclayton.com/.
